TMITHC is a novel written by famed author Phillip K. Dick. Like the novel, the show tells the story of an alternate past in which the Axis powers won World War II. Fallout is "adventuring in a world that feels like what people in the Fifties thought the future would look like, then dropped a bunch of nuclear warheads on it." Fallout was created by Timothy Cain and Interplay Entertainment, and it's legacy has lived on in recent years through developers Bethesda Game Studios and Obisidian Entertainment.
